About Us

The Rhea-Dayton Education Association was created in 1974 to serve the teachers of the Rhea County and Dayton City school systems. At this time we have approximately 200 members in our local.

The RDEA Mission

To promote quality education in Rhea County, the Rhea-Dayton Education Association will provide a support system that guarantees the opportunity for professional growth, secures and improves benefits and protects the rights of educators of Rhea County.

The TEA Mission

The Tennessee Education Association promotes, advances and protects public education, the education profession, and the rights and interests of its members.

The NEA Mission

To fulfill the promise of a democratic society, the National Education Association shall promote the cause of quality public education and advance the profession of education; expand the rights and further the interests of educational employees; and advocate human, civil and economic rights for all.
